Post Holiday letdown

Surprise, surprise, but life took my by the horns instead of the other way around. Maybe one day I'll be able to turn the tables. Anyhow, ...

We made it through the major part of the holidays. A very good time was had by all. There was the Box(ing) Day party, Grandma's Birthday party, and Christmas eve. Next is New Year's Eve and then celebrate Christmas on New Year's Day with my side of the Tulsa family. This will be followed by Addy flying to Houston for the day to get her passport and student visa and then flying to Madrid on Saturday the 5th. Talk about a whirlwind month, make that a tornado of a few weeks.

It's been interesting trying to decide what to write about for new entries. Most of the topics seem too trite to put out on the net for general consumption. I'm not that much of an exhibitionist. I'm sure there will be more to come with Addy being in Spain.

Until next time

Sharing

It's been awhile since my last post. It truly is amazing how quickly the time goes. I've been meaning to write some more, but life always has a way of trying to interfere. A good author learns how to work through the interruptions and still puts pen to paper, or in this case, finger to keyboard. It is the same idea athletes or musicians go through: Practice, practice, practice. I just have to get in the routine. Here's to new patterns and habits.

I received an email from a friend yesterday that included a wonderful sentiment and I need to share with the universe:

I am sharing from Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and it is: "Tell Three People (today) How Much You Love Them"

Author Stephen Levine asks, the question, "If you had an hour to live and could make only one phone call – Who would you call? What would you say? Why are you waiting?"

What a powerful message!

Who knows what we are waiting for? Perhaps we want to believe we will live forever, or that 'someday' we will get around to telling the people we love how much we love them. Whatever the reasons, most of us simply wait to long.

Peace and Love
